Laundry Facilities
The laundry and second (boys) bathroom is part of the Cottage set up. You have a washing machine and dryer as well as a laundry tub. Please rinse any muddy clothes outside before using the washing machine.
Cooking Options
If you have the entire property you will use the chefs stainless kitchen and dining room. If you are only in the Cottage, the galley kitchen and BBQ deck are your two options. Enjoy self catering and you can avoid any travel and take in the views.
Dining Choice
From Thursday through Sunday try the Pickled Wombat for great cafe style food. A range of wine and beers abound. Set a block back from the river in St Albans village. Meet more of the locals as they dine out. Great for breakfast and brunch on weekends.
Local beers and wines
Head back to the village for great wines and craft beers at the Historic Settlers Arms Inne.
Pub meetup
A great time can be had catching up with friends who take a day trip out to the cottage or the pub. You will love meeting and showing off the historic pub for lunch. St Albans is a comfortable 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Sydney and ideal for your friends to day trip up.
History Books
We have local history books in the cottage for your study. Take a detailed look at the documents on the walls including land grants and title deeds going back 200 years. It is a fascinating history from the Cook through the the 3rd fleet when William Bayley and Ann Archer arrived as convicts.
Free Wifi
The WiFi is First Farm Guest and no password is required. The WiFi in the Retreat is First Farm Mesh and password is on your documents on arrival.
Arrival Information
When you arrive, your key will be available to pick up at the front doors. We text you specific information on morning of your arrival date. Check in is from 2:00pm and you should plan on departing by 11:00 am on your last morning. Late check outs by arrangement and there is sometimes a fee. Please ask.
